During the last edition of the WorldFood Poland trade fair, a unique initiative took place, known as the ‘Plant-based Revolution’. The new zone showcased plant-based products, with participation from 26 companies offering plant-based alternatives to meat and dairy. Among the exhibitors were brands such as FoodJack, HARKE Polska, Hempeat, MYEGG, Planeat, WEGE SIOSTRY, and Zmiany Zmiany.

This exceptional section of the trade fair dedicated to plant-based products not only gathered 26 companies presenting plant-based meat and dairy alternatives but also provided a platform for discussions during a dedicated conference block. Industry experts participated in debates regarding the perspectives of the plant-based substitute market, cell-based meat as an emerging technology in the meat industry, and insects as an alternative source of protein.
The Plant-based Zone was located next to the EcoFood Poland sector, an integral part of the WorldFood Poland trade fair. This sector focuses on organic, certified, ecological, natural, minimally processed, and traditional food with a clean label. These fairs provide an excellent platform for presenting organic products and ‘Free From’ products, such as gluten-free, lactose-free, and sugar-free products, which are gaining increasing popularity among trade and distribution representatives.
A novelty for the 2023 edition was the introduction of the plant-based zone, showcasing various products such as plant-based meat and deli substitutes, plant-based drinks, vegan cheeses, plant-based sandwich spreads, vegan ice creams, sweets, snacks, and egg substitutes. This initiative was a response to the enormous potential of the plant-based food category in the food market and the growing interest of exhibitors and visitors in this rapidly evolving trend.
More information about plant-based meat substitutes and plant-based dairy alternatives can be found in the free downloadable reports on our website.
